When I went to San Diego for a couple of weeks in August, I had the opportunity to photograph one of my dearest friends family photos. Wendy and her family are some of my favorite people. In fact, when I do go to San Diego I typically stay at their house. Always making me comfortable during my stay. I photographed them up here in Santa Cruz last summer and before I moved three years ago, I shot their family in San Juan Capistrano at the Mission San Juan Capistrano. It really is crazy how much the kids have grown and you can really see the difference through the years. I will have to pull a photo from each session so we can all see the transformation. This was a particularly special session this year, for Caden is in his Senior Year and they are not sure where Caden will end up for College. So the yearly family photo sessions might become a bit more difficult to plan for the next few years.
Wendy is a photographer herself, in fact, she used to be my intern and that is where our friendship started or I guess we say the mailbox. :) We used to be neighbors and the community mailbox was in front of Wendy's house and every once in a while we would be getting our mail at the same time, which would typically lead into about an hour conversation. We should of known then that we would become good friends. Wendy, thank you so much for entrusting in me to capture your beautiful family. I look forward to the next time. XOXO ~ M
